Gravity is very light, your shots go very long on this world. Also there are constant meteor showers. Metal is very plentiful, though energy sources are very scarce, there is no wind, and no steam vents There are some custom tiles included, the 8 large blueish pyramids, each which marks a starting location. These pyramids have very slopeing sides, and are not altogether high in altitude, also many units, and can navigate the sides, those that cannot have no trouble useing the ramps. These 8 pyramids and the one in the center are the highest points on the map, and are of the most stategic value, especially the one in the center. Besides these 8 pyramids, and the one in the center, there are not alot of obsticals that block progress, or your shots, as most crators are very low hills, or depressions. There are many metal deposits scattered about the map, and a multitude of metal bearing rocks that can be reclaimed, but what makes this map differant than any I know of is the special feature I've included with this map. Useually when Metal and anyother surface are used in combination, if the Metal surfaces are to act as metal, the regular surface must too. This means that an extractor placed on any surface would be able to draw metal from this surface just as it would on the Metal surfaces. The only way to stop this is to make your Metal surfaces non-metal bearing also, until now. Through use of a special feature file included, the surface will act as a normal Lunar surface, and the metal WILL act as metal. The only drawback is that the metal in the pyramids is not consistant, meaning it will not always give the same amount of metal from each extractor, and sometimes will not draw any at all from certain ones. This means if placed side by side, in a row, some extractors may give Max Metal, while some will give less, and some will give none, though the majority will draw some metal from the metal surfaces. Though this is not perfect, it is better than the metal not acting as metal at all, or the lunar surface acting like metal. Lets just say because of the alloy that makes up the pyramids, the metal drawn is inconsistant.;-) Other than this special feature, this map is fairly simple and wide open, and you have plenty of room to deploy your troops, and build your bases. I hope you enjoy this map, and watch out for the metors! // Address all comments/suggestions to; rex222@erols.com // This version is version 2a. Originally I had meteors included in this map, I was informed by the maps reviewer that Meteors conflict with some peoples TA, so I uploaded version 2 without the Meteors. If meteors are no problem with your TA then you can add them back in with TAE or Annihilator, just be sure your opponant has them too while playing multi-play. The settings are; Radious 5, Density 3, Duration 4, inerval 2. They really add alot to the map and fit in with the lunar theme and many rocks all about the surface. Then I was informed that my special feature file, which I included in the map UFO, does not load correctly in TAE, and in some peoples game of TA. It loads fine in mine, and in my copy of Annihilator, but indeed not in TAE unless placed in the TA directory seperately, so I've uploaded this map AGAIN as version 2a with the feature file in map zip. simply place this file in your TA directory along with the map. Esentually this map is the same as originally uploaded, only it has a copy of the feature file seperate and no meteors, so if you downloaded it before, and it works, dont bother doing so again.
